2019 Free Career Seminar Tour: The Testimony

Because it is right!

This generation differs from that of our parents or the ones we were raised in, in my opinion. Whereas during our time (or I speak for myself - my time), parents and/or older ones demanding we do something because they said so would suffice, the situation differs now it seems. Not only do teenagers demand explanations for things they are asked to do, some children do too. Coupled with the phenomenal information explosion as a result of the internet, any ' unsatisfactory ' answer given by a parent or older one could be checked and 'debunked' with the tap of some fingers on devices. How can and/or do we approach this?  I believe an answer lies in the Scripture: " Train up a child in the way he should go   [and in keeping with his individual gift or bent], and when he is old he will not depart from it ." Proverbs 22:6 AMP Training a child isn't passive!   Consider the Olympics for example. Thousands of athletes spend a minimum of four

Excellence Starts Small

One meaning of excellence is " an excellent quality or feature "; excellent means " possessing outstanding quality or superior merit; remarkably good ." Dictionary.com My theory is " Excellence Starts Small ". I have reason to believe that if you pay attention and strive to do very menial tasks in a remarkably good way, in the tiny details that majority may not seem to care about or pay attention to, such would naturally become a part of you, which then spills over into bigger things, until excellence becomes your very nature. Parents, please train your children to have an excellent mindset. If you give them a task, follow it through and make sure it is thoroughly carried out. They may not like you for this but hey, you aren't (or rather shouldn't) look to your kids to be your fans; your primary role (in my opinion) is to guide them aright and mould their character to the best of your ability, which would have a knock-on effect

The Power of Your Story

I may not be a seasoned farmer, but I have planted various seeds during the course of my life and have enjoyed the fruit/harvest from such. I think its safe to say too that not every seed I have planted has produced a harvest. Yet, should the possibility that some seed wouldn't grow full term and yield discourage anyone planting from doing the needful? Not at all or rather, it shouldn't. Even if a farmer experiences some loss of crops, I believe he or she remains optimistic about the next season, and looks forward to it. If every farmer gave up farming because every single seed he or she planted did not produce a harvest, well, let's just say famine would be widespread.  The experiences you go through (pleasant or otherwise) constitute your story, but have you ever thought of such as seeds that could bear fruit in someone else's life? Fruit of comfort and strength for example for someone, knowing that since others have survived something similar to what

When an unpleasant event precedes a pleasant one....

I love this photo! Caught in the act of worship 🙌💞 This was such a beautiful evening, but the events that preceded it were not: I got the invite as a guest 👩‍🏫 to speak at this Fresher's Night and Academic Empowerment Summit by my Church's Campus Fellowship not too long before the day; I was quite busy in the interim. After confirming I'll be there, I got an email for a meeting scheduled to hold at a time that'll clash with this event. " Dear Lord, what should i do ?" I  kindly requested for the meeting to be rescheduled and thank God the request was approved; new time was some hours before this event. Perfecto, right? Hmn... The meeting ended up not going as well as I thought it would and I literally wanted to cry. The song " Don't Cry " by Kirk Franklin started 'playing' in my heart. I was informed that I'll officially hear the outcome of the meeting later in the day or latest, within the next 24 hours; it
