2019 Free Career Seminar Tour: The Testimony

My Mango Testimony

I chuckled at the thought of writing this post but here we go: 😁

Mangoes - they remind me of my maternal grandparents. One of my granddad's relaxation spot in the village was under a mango tree, whereas my grandma enjoyed eating mangoes, especially the species we call 'bush' - stringy ones.

Sometime last month, I went grocery shopping and as I got some Oranges, I sighted Mangoes and was like, it's Mango season 💃💃. I got some, looking forward to happily devouring them. I couldn't immediately on arrival home though, because I was already late for house fellowship (been at a training all day, had to fix somethings etc). I washed and put them to cool, looking forward to a special eating session with them later. 😉

Went for the house fellowship and as we concluded, some severe wind decided to blow, followed by a heavy downpour. Argh 😤, my Mangoes (like they were going away 🤣). When the rain subsided, my friend and I walked to my place under an umbrella. Yes, you could say we could've left earlier in the heavy rain since there was an umbrella. My response to this is: there is a rain that can make your umbrella look ineffective, possibly leaving it permanently deformed and you wet simultaneously; I rest my case 😒😄 We arrived at my place and as she checked through my collection for some books, I served us mangoes and oranges, and went on to prepare dinner. She didn't wait for dinner though, but we ate the fruits.

Some days later after the midweek service as we went home, this same friend asked me to wait by her house for a few minutes as she's got mangoes for me 💃💃💃. Turns out she had a Mango tree in her house and she had already plucked and kept ready some for me; they were over a dozen mangoes (I counted; I like Math like that 🙈). 🗣 Praise the Lord! Somebody shout Hallelujah! 😁. The mangoes were at varying ripening stages, so I had the pleasure of enjoying some daily for a bit 💃. Ok, this isn't just meant to be a hilarious post (hopefully my attempt wasn't bad).

I came across this image from www.organicfacts.net whilst searching for nutritional information on Mangoes and thought it succinctly concise; hope you find it useful:

Very importantly too, a spiritual principle: If I had refused to share the Mangoes I had with my friend because I got just enough for myself to enjoy, she would probably not have known I liked them, and it possibly would not have occurred to her to get me some.

Maybe you have not experienced an increase in some area because you have decided not to give and/or share, telling yourself that what you have is insufficient or just enough for you, and you're not willing to 'suffer'. I have come to know that God loves it when we give and especially honours sacrificial giving.

"A man may give freely, and still his wealth will be increased; and another may keep back more than is right, but only comes to be in need." Proverbs 11:24 BBE

Please, learn to let go of whatever you may need too, and enjoy increase.

P.S. - I told my friend I wrote a blog post testifying about Mangoes and she laughed. Guess what? She's ensured a steady supply of mangoes to me on a weekly basis 💃💃. Ok, the image above says Mangoes aids in weight gain, so I have to watch out.

Please remember this, "...It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35b KJV

Stay blessed 😀 x

2019 Free Career Seminar Tour: The Testimony

Hello again 😁 Yesterday, I posted on here about the appeal I made for help last August, with hosting a FREE CAREER SEMINAR in Abuja. Well, I also posted the testimony from the FREE CAREER SEMINAR that ended up being a tour across Abuja, and in Nasarawa and Kaduna States. I literally posted the ensuing on Facebook too on 24th October 2019: When I started getting inspirational signals about hosting a Free Career Seminar in Abuja, I thought it'd be a one-day event where parents & students would attend & started making preparations. Well, Abuja isn't exactly cheap & I didn't have sponsors, just a donation (thanks so much Pat  😘 ).  I went to God about strategy & He led me to employ a similar strategy I've used in Ilorin: hold the seminars at various schools, like a tour. That way, venue is free and logistics are a lot easier to handle.  Sis Faith offered to help out and she was able to secure some schools in Nasarawa (thank you  😘...

On Love and Marriage: Mrs Alabi's Story (#LearnASkillChallenge)

Have you ever had a Church Mummy - an older woman from Church is who very interested in your affairs and progress? If you don't, I pray you get to experience one, a great one for that matter as I am blessed to.  Mrs Alabi is one of my Church Mummies, who looks out for my best interest and never fails to encourage me. I appreciate you Ma , God bless you. See this outfit below? She made and gifted it to me 😀❤️😘 As a certified Church Mummy, you know she constantly asks about my marriage plans 😆. Not in a condescending way though, she does with so much love, care, and compassion, encouraging me to trust God and He'll sort me out. She shares a lot with me about lessons from her life and after one of such chats, I told her I'll blog about her story. I wrote down what I recalled and gave her the draft; she okayed it but declined to have her photo put up lol. I told her I'll go to a photo studio then and take a good shot with the dress she made me, then use it in ...
